The resources below the ALA widget represent additional selected materials and sites that may be of interest to use in your program and to share in your schools.

 

The American Library Association has created an island in the virtual world Second Life where information, links, and videos are available.  In addition, the association frequently provides virtual events and forums to support library professionals.  Check the calendar of events and then teleport your avatar to the island!

The Ethics of American Youth – 2008 summary

Josephson Institute report card of a survey of almost 30,000 high school students.  Includes the following data: 

"More than one in three (36 percent) said they used the Internet to plagiarize an assignment.  In 2006 the figure was 33 percent."
